Plain-language summary: Galley Desk is a paid tool for AA flight attendants only. Our AI tools provide general information to help you bid and reference your contract, but they are not a substitute for official sources. If you cancel, access ends at the close of your billing period.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of the Galley Desk service (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Galley Desk, operated from Charlotte, North Carolina.

2. Eligibility

The Service is available exclusively to active American Airlines flight attendants. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:

We reserve the right to verify eligibility at any time and to terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.

3. Account Registration and Verification

To access the Service, you must complete a verification process: (1) sign up with a personal email of your choice, (2) receive and enter a one-time code sent to your @aa.com address to confirm active AA employment, and (3) provide your AA employee number for cross-reference against the APFA seniority roster to confirm flight attendant status.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@galleydesk.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You may not create an account on behalf of another person or share your account credentials.

Probationary Rate Requests

A reduced-rate ($2.99/month) probationary subscription is available at our discretion for flight attendants who qualify. Approval is not guaranteed. Submitting a request does not create a subscription until it is approved and payment is completed.

4. Subscription and Billing

The Service is offered on a monthly recurring subscription basis. By starting a paid subscription, you authorize Galley Desk to charge your payment method on a monthly basis until you cancel.

Pricing

Billing

Billing is handled by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically on the same day each month. If a payment fails, your subscription may be suspended until payment is resolved. We will notify you by email if a payment fails.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. If pricing changes, we will provide at least 30 days notice by email. Continued use of the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new price.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal available in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to the Service until that date.

We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months. If you cancel shortly after being charged, that charge is not refundable, but you will retain access through the end of the period you paid for.

If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at hello@galleydesk.com within 30 days and we will review the situation.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination without refund.

7. AI Tools Disclaimer

Important: The AI-powered features of Galley Desk, including the concierge, bid advisor, contract help, and related tools, are provided for general informational and planning purposes only. They do not constitute official union advice, legal advice, or a guarantee of any bidding outcome. Always verify important information against official AA and APFA sources.

Our tools analyze historical bid data, contract language, and general scheduling patterns to surface helpful information. However:

Galley Desk is not affiliated with American Airlines or APFA. Use of the Service does not create any employment, union, or advisory relationship.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, software, design, and data within the Service, including but not limited to the codebase, AI tooling, bid intelligence data, and UI design, are owned by Galley Desk and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes during your active subscription period.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information provided through the Service, including AI-generated content and bid data.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Galley Desk shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of income, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we have reason to believe you have violated these Terms, provided false verification information, or are no longer an active AA flight attendant. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email before doing so, unless termination is required to protect the security or integrity of the Service.

You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription and contacting us to request account deletion.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify subscribers by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
